This special cuvée is only made in the best vintages and is named after the medieval castle of Ribeaupierre, perched high on the hillside above the winery. The grapes are harvested from selected parcels of old Gewürztraminer vines from the Osterberg and Hunawihr Grands Crus. The nose has a wild and floral scent of roses, lychee and sweet star anise. Wonderfully rich in the mouth, there is a brilliant dryness which is supported by densely concentrated notes of pine, honey and spice. Long and elegant on the finish, this is an immensely impressive wine of real depth, finesse and power.
