2005 Riesling Grand Cru Steingrubler, Barmes-Buecher
suggest freshly-picked cherry, slightly scented and floral, with a discreet note of root ginger. On the palate the wine reveals fine, ripe fruit, quite layered but nonetheless precise, with notes of citrus melding with crisp apple and exotic spice. Mineral notes akin to wet stone or flint course through to the finish, which is long, lingering and expressive.
