Of the two varieties of Muscat grown in Alsace, it is the Muscat Blanc a Petits Grains that dominates this wine. From a limestone-rich vineyard, it comes as no surprise that the nose reveals such striking minerality. The aromas here are of musky, juicy ripe green grapes and stoney minerals. There is such a juicy sense of concentration here, with lovely breadth, yet one senses a tightly wound structure too. Poised with such ripe, yet mineral- infused fruit, which leads to a persistent almost tangy finish. Stunning off-dry Muscat, that will prove fascinating with age.
