2016 Condrieu La Petite Côte, Cave Yves Cuilleron

Benchmark Condrieu, from one of the region’s foremost producers. Pure ripe fruits and flowers leap from the glass, enveloping you, and the palate is full and luxuriant. But what sets this apart is the energy: it's balanced, poised and just thrilling. A standout from a superb vintage.

2016 Condrieu La Petite Côte, Cave Yves Cuilleron
Caves Yves Cuilleron

Yves Cuilleron is an important name in the northern Rhône. His family farmed there since at least the early 1900s, and as a fourth generation winemaker, he has since taken on holdings in St.-Joseph, Condrieu and the Côte-Rôtie. While on one hand, he farms as naturally as possible, in the vineyard he has been open to experimenting with new oak. His fearlessness in trying new things in pursuit of producing world-class wines is admirable, and seems to be working.
