2019 Hermitage, 'La Maison Bleue', Paul Jaboulet Aîné

This is produced on the eastern side of the famous hill, and is named after the small stone house with blue shutters that is nestled in amongst the vines. The 2019 is a rounded and luxurious expression of Hermitage with an opulent texture, with notes of kirsch, coffee, and spice.

2019 Hermitage, 'La Maison Bleue', Paul Jaboulet Aîné
Domaine Paul Jaboulet Aîné

Jaboulet is one of the Rhône’s most famous names, and the house’s flagship wine, Hermitage La Chapelle, is an icon. Founded as a family concern in the early 19th century, it remained in family hands for nearly two hundred years, until it was sold to the Frey family, proprietors of Bordeaux Third Growth Château La Lagune and Champagne’s Billecart-Salmon. Caroline Frey now oversees the winemaking, and the estate has returned to the top table in Hermitage.
