We tasted each of the constituent parts of Guillaume’s Côte-Rôtie, and each impressed us with individuality, complexity and precision. But here, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, and this is a benchmark Côte-Rôtie. It’s floral but intense, with spice and a mineral texture, and beautifully ripe fruit.

... the classic 2015 Côte Rôtie Classique incorporates 4% Viognier and is brought up in 15% new barrels. Its inky purple color is followed by straight up smokin’ good notes of black olives, spring flowers, black raspberries and graphite. It has full-bodied richness, building tannin and a great texture, all pointing to an outstanding wine that will evolve gracefully.
