It was a very difficult decision not to make the cuvée ‘Vieilles Fontaines’ in 2013, but this ‘Vieilles Vignes’ has definitely benefitted. Made with the fruit that would otherwise go into the top wine, this is now outstanding value for money. With the concentration that comes from old vines, this is big, long and complex with hints of rhubarb and green pepper. Superb.
