M. Perret may well be more famous for his whites than his reds, however this should not trick anyone into thinking the Syrahs from this estate are not special. Produced from old vines (over 90 years old), Les Grisières is a great example of Northern Rhône red, with plenty of meaty, savoury and spicy flavours bringing complexity to the core dark, sweet fruit. Said fruit has splendid weight and a juicy freshness. Powerful and complex yet supremely seductive on the finish, this would be an exciting addition to any cellar.
