“A step up on the richness scale, the blockbuster 2012 Saint Joseph Saint Epine (aged all in barrel) should not be missed! Exhibiting copious aromas and flavors of black raspberry, ground pepper, cassis, graphite and crushed flowers, it is full-bodied, perfectly balanced and has a seamless, silky texture that will be hard to resist on release. Drink it over the coming 10-12 years.” 92 – 95 points, Jeb Dunnuck, The Wine Advocate, December 2013

With an impressive female winemaker, Claire Darnaud, at the helm since 2010 (though with experience there dating back to 1996), and considerable investment in the cellar to move to the historic town centre, the wines here are some of the more refined in the region. Careful never to use more than 40% new oak, Claire is a master of her craft.
