A serious Crozes-Hermitage that displays a masculine, savoury and meaty Syrah profile with notes of black olive and gunflint. Beneath the dark and brooding nose there is a lovely light and lifted peppery scent. All this is encased in very pure blackberry fruit. The tannins are grainy and tightly-packed, but over time this will open up and soften to reveal a wine of the utmost pedigree and excellent mid-term ageing potential.
