2010 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Tradition, Domaine Giraud

"The 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape Tradition (made from the same blend as the 2011) is incredibly rich, concentrated and complex. The best value in their portfolio, it offers a dark plum/purple color along with copious notes of garrigue, pepper, licorice, black raspberries and kirsch. A super, full-bodied Chateauneuf with terrific purity and palate presence..." 94 points, Robert Parker, Wine Advocate

2010 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Tradition, Domaine Giraud
Domaine Giraud

Although they’ve got a history in the region dating back generations, the Giraud family are relative latecomers to wine, having been distillers for most of their history. They only got hold of their first vines in 1974, with brother and sister team, François and Marie, taking over from their parents in 1998. They focus on each plot in turn, creating some of Châteauneuf’s most elegant and precise wines that show none of the heaviness of some of their neighbours.
