2010 Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Signature, Domaine La Barroche

"A sensational effort, the 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape exhibits jammy black raspberry and black currant fruit intermixed with licorice, camphor, incense and hits of truffles as well as pepper. With velvety tannins, abundant glycerin, a nicely delineated mouthfeel, a sumptuous texture and a long finish..." 92 points, Robert Parker, Wine Advocate

2010 Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Signature, Domaine La Barroche
Domaine La Barroche

Domaine la Barroche is one of the impressive Châteauneuf producers who have emerged on the wine scene here. Ironically, it’s also one of the oldest properties, with a family that's been in the region since the 1400s. In 2002, under young winemaker Julien Barrot, the wines took flight as some of the best in the area. Old vines and intelligent, non-interventionist winemaking are the secrets to Julien’s success, as well as his perfectionist mindset.
