Deep-coloured, damson fruit in this marvellous blend of 79% Grenache and 21% Mourvedre which is aged in small old Burgundy barrels. Delicious aromas of fresh blackberries, loganberries and plums combine with violets, lavender, roasted herbs and a touch of charcoal to create an amazingly fragrant wine. On the palate, it is dense and exotic, where big, thick tannins provide a generous structure that is magnificently balanced, wonderfully integrated with a core of perfect freshness. The length is long; finishing with a touch of pepper and dark chocolate. This is a sensational wine at a sensational price.
