Wonderfully inviting, the nose is complex and heady, displaying beautiful, rich, creamy aromas and ripe red fruit. Pepper, spice and garrigue combine with the fruit on the mid-palate to create a round, opulent complexity. The finish is fresh and profound with a deep, savoury and meaty edge; a touch of liquorice gives it some ‘lift’. This is a supremely elegant wine, showing real poise and balance, whose vivid concentration, acidity and dusty tannins indicate spectacular ageing potential.
