2010 Côte-Rôtie, Côte Blonde, Réné Rostaing

Breathtakingly pure fruit shines through in this top cuvée, which benefits from the wonderful fragrant, floral effect of the tiny proportion of Viognier in the blend. Richer still than its Landonne neighbour, the concentration is deep and sweet, with firm but silky tannins. Dark, heady blueberries combine with lavender on the palate; this is a delicious, feminine wine with real nerve, elegance and a spectacularly attractive finish. True Côte-Rôtie pedigree. **Limited to one six bottle case only per customer**

2010 Côte-Rôtie, Côte Blonde, Réné Rostaing
Domaine René Rostaing

A master in his field, René Rostaing is an anomaly. While his wife inherited some of the finest plots in the Côte-Rôtie, he initially elected a career in real estate, though he gradually spent more time making wine until he took it on full time in 2000. With 7.5 hectares of prime land, he blends the best of traditional and modern techniques in the vineyard and cellar, producing terroir-driven wines. René has recently been joined by his son, Pierre, whose first vintage in control was 2015.
