2009 Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Signature, Domaine La Barroche

Tasted from a selection of barrels representative of the likely final blend. Inky and concentrated in the glass with liquorice and bramble fruit on the nose. Extremely pure on the palate with stunning definition and finesse. A magnificent village Châteauneuf from one of the region's rising stars, Julien Barrot.

2009 Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Signature, Domaine La Barroche
Domaine La Barroche

Domaine la Barroche is one of the impressive Châteauneuf producers who have emerged on the wine scene here. Ironically, it’s also one of the oldest properties, with a family that's been in the region since the 1400s. In 2002, under young winemaker Julien Barrot, the wines took flight as some of the best in the area. Old vines and intelligent, non-interventionist winemaking are the secrets to Julien’s success, as well as his perfectionist mindset.
