A blend of 75% Grenache, 15% Syrah, with the final 10% made up of Mourvèdre, Cinsault and Vaccarese, this excellent Châteauneuf exhibits creamy, raspberry notes, spicy and rich. Classic black forest gâteau aromatics. The palate too is creamy and of supple texture, layered with ripe soft-skinned berry and sweet cherry fruit providing a good fruit core. Accomplished winemaking gives this wine a certain gloss, but there is an underlying minerality, which makes its presence felt on a warmly balanced finish, which is full of the grip of ripe fruit skins.
