Jérôme Bressy's Rasteau seems to be improving with each passing year. Deep, dark fruit in the glass, the nose offers expressive dark damsony fruit, dark cherry too with a discreet spice. Velvety, dense on the palate with sweet ripe fruit allied to notes of liquorice and pepper. A distinctive minerality is revealed to the finish. The texture here is so enticing - for a wine of this depth, it remains remarkably well-poised. The fruit refuses to fade on the finish, leaving an impression of tremendous elegance.
