2004 Côtes du Rhône Les Violettes, Domaine la Soumade
Wonderful vivid crimson-tinged hue in the glass, with striking aromas of violets, blackcurrant and redcurrant fruit. On the palate it quickly becomes apparent that this style reveals a terrific sense of ripeness yet remains remarkably light on its feet. Very textural, almost glossy quality with soft, mouthfilling fruit. Vibrant in style, unusual and great value.
