"The 2014 Brouilly la Croix des Rameaux, which Jean-Claude took directly from barrel, is 20% de-stemmed and underwent less pigeage compared to other vintages. It has a complex bouquet of blackberry and mulberry scents, a puff of chalk dust surfacing with time. The palate is medium-bodied with fine, supple tannin and very fine acidity. There is good density here, but it is not overpowering – very focused and precise on the long pixelated finish. Excellent."
