2014 Côte de Brouilly, Jean-Claude Lapalu, Beaujolais

2014 Côte de Brouilly, Jean-Claude Lapalu, Beaujolais

"The 2014 Côte de Brouilly undergoes exactly the same vinification as the la Croix des Rameaux, but it comes from vines planted in limestone and clay soils. It has a very intense, very delineated bouquet with pure black cherries mixed with blueberry and cold stone scents. The palate is medium-bodied with great tension. The acidity is very well-judged as it dovetails into a precise, refined finish. If you seek a nervous Côte de Brouilly, nobody really does it better than this."
