2011 Fleurie, Château des Labourons, Beaujolais, Henry Fessy
Château des Labourons dominates the beautiful hillsides of the Fleurie appellation. It is located 3 kilometres further up the hill from the pretty hamlet of Les Labourons. The combination of the altitude, slope, exposure and quality of the soil have created a promising terroir in the heart of the Fleurie Cru.
This ever-popular Beaujolais Cru is as attractive as its name suggests, displaying elegant raspberry, cherry and plum fruit backed up by bright acidity and crunchy redcurrant on the palate. Juicy, floral and approachable with a lovely silky texture, this will partner well with light lunches, cold meats and terrines or as a fabulous match for spring lamb.
