2023 Chablis 1er Cru Fourchaume, Jean-Claude et Romain Bessin-Tremblay

2023 Chablis 1er Cru Fourchaume, Jean-Claude et Romain Bessin-Tremblay

Fourchaume has a little more flesh on its bones than the chiselled La Forêt. This is no surprise given Fourchaume is one of the warmer sites in Chablis, thanks to its southerly exposure. It is savoury and smooth on the palate, with a great concentration and weighty finish, absolutely delicious.

Tasting notes

Pale lemon, the wood takes the upper hand for the moment. However, there is a good white fruit energy behind and really very good length. A few wood tannins for the moment
