A focused, firm and structured Vaudésir. Saline and crisp on the nose, there is something intriguingly spicy on the palate - pickled ginger? This is a lovely grand cru from Samuel, with weight and depth. It packs a lot of punch.
Pungent wood and reduction aromas lead to energetic and beautifully well-delineated medium-bodied flavors that flash an abundance of minerality on the bitter lemon-inflected and wonderfully persistent finish. This is a Vaudésir of refinement and finesse that isn't quite as tightly wound as the Preuses but should still age very well.
