This comes from the older vines in the Bessin’s Fourchaume parcel, and is only made in the best vintages. The vines were planted in 1934 in the heart of the premier cru, and after ageing in 15% new oak, this wine reveals its power. The complexity and depth here is more akin to a grand cru. It is exotic, powerful, intense, and seemingly endless on the finish. The age-worthiness of this wine cannot be understated.
