2014 Chablis 1er Cru Montée de Tonnerre, Domaine Long Depaquit

Another terrific example of this leading premier cru. Highly aromatic with notes of mountain herbs, fennel and dried apricot, the palate is dense and intense, flowing with layer upon layer of flavour. This vineyard is 10 years old and produces quite an exuberant wine.

2014 Chablis 1er Cru Montée de Tonnerre, Domaine Long Depaquit
Albert Bichot (Clos Frantin and Long Depaquit)

Founded in 1791, this domaine’s château remains the most impressive in Chablis. Now owned by Beaune-based house Albert Bichot, and benefitting from the expertise of Technical Director Alain Serveau, this is a Chablis domaine on the rise to the top of the appellation. La Moutonne is the wine that the estate is best known for, a monopole in the heart of the Grands Crus, between Vaudésir and Les Preuses. It’s in a natural amphitheatre where the wines can reach stunning ripeness for the region.
