2014 Chablis 1er Cru Vaulorent, Jean-Marc Brocard

Attached to the Grand Crus (sitting above Les Preuses) Vaulorent is a truly great vineyard. With only five producers within its boundaries, prices are rising fast as word gets out. Some earthy notes, a very concentrated lemon oil, saline character and a nice almond-like roundness on the palate. The finish is long, authentic and stony – this is a true bargain.
