2024 Puligny-Montrachet Les Aubues, Jean-Claude Bachelet et Fils

2024 Puligny-Montrachet Les Aubues, Jean-Claude Bachelet et Fils

Les Aubues is an enclave within Puligny’s excellent Enseignères, just below Le Bâtard-Montrachet. Les Enseignères has long been on the radar of collectors as one of the sweetest spots for any village wine on the whole Côte. It shows unbelievable persistence for a village wine, and surely any blind taster would jump to a premier cru conclusion, thanks to the layered complexity, length and texture of the wine.

Tasting notes

Mid lemon yellow, not especially floral but with a solid level of fruit. Opens out well on the palate, just ripe enough white orchard fruit without the citrus, fills the mouth very nicely and continues on to a long finish. Worth holding back for a while. Drink from 2030-2034. Tasted Oct 2025.
