2024 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru La Truffière, Jean-Marc Boillot

2024 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru La Truffière, Jean-Marc Boillot

This is one of the finest sites in Puligny. It has some of the poorest soil in the village, and the wines it produces often soar to another level. It has a cool, steely, mineral style, and a delicious bitterness, like that of freshly sliced pink grapefruit. It’s concentrated, showing impressive linear attack to the acidity, continuing right through the long, saline finish.

Tasting notes

Pale lemon and lime. Softer in bouquet, a graceful fruit with a first hint of yellower notes. Ripe citrus here, a suggestion of orange blossom, good acidity too. Some personality on show. Ripe fruit on a very limestone soil. Drink from 2029-2033. Tasted Oct 2025.
