2024 Chassagne-Montrachet, Jean-Marc Pillot

2024 Chassagne-Montrachet, Jean-Marc Pillot

This is from three of the village’s best communal sites: Les Pierres (94-year-old vines), Mazures (40+), and Houillères (30+). The younger vines give lift, elegance and a vibrant drive, while the older vines give depth and power. It shows a light lemon scent on the nose, with a fresh, linear drive of acidity on the palate.

Tasting notes

Much more of a green tint to the pale colour. Lean yet lively, more linear than the Puligny, with extended length perhaps. Great clarity to this Chassagne, lemon and apples, with some stones mixed in. Drink from 2028-2031. Tasted Oct 2025.
