2024 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Chenevottes, Jean-Marc Pillot

2024 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Chenevottes, Jean-Marc Pillot

New release

Les Chenevottes has slightly deeper soils than some neighbouring vineyards, and the 70-year-old vines, with their deep roots, have endured the extreme summer heat of recent years in relative comfort. The wine is taut and chiselled yet there’s a suppleness to the fruit, and a citrus, salty twist on the nose. It shows excellent control and delicious texture.

Tasting notes

In tank. Pale lime green. The firmer structure of Chenevottes is evident on the nose, a better yield here because always a good water supply. Fine concentration, very nicely balanced across the palate, with pleasing length. Drink from 2029-2033. Tasted Oct 2025.
