2024 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Combettes, Jean-Marc Boillot

2024 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Combettes, Jean-Marc Boillot

The Boillots’ tiny but highly-regarded Combettes is situated between Les Referts and Champ Canet above and below, and Meursault Charmes to the side. It shows some of the Charmes character in its silken texture, and excellent density. There is grand cru-esque complexity here.

Tasting notes

Also a lovely green tint. The nose is most welcoming, Combettes needs a bit of rainfall, so this has plumped up nicely. Actually, there is just a little youthful bitterness behind, nicely covered by the cashmere white fruit. Drink from 2030-2035. Tasted Oct 2025.
