2024 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Champ Canet, Jean-Marc Boillot

2024 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Champ Canet, Jean-Marc Boillot

The Boillot family have two parcels here, which together amount to just over one hectare. It is scented with pithy citrus and just a hint of lime blossom. As ever, this is tightly coiled, concentrated, textural Puligny with laser-sharp definition.

Tasting notes

Fresh mid lemon colour with a greener edge. The bouquet offers a fine volume of fruit, with a level of class and sophistication ahead of the first two premiers crus. Coming back for another sniff. Orchard fruit with a faint hint of liquorice, the fruit taking the upper hand over the oak, little waves of flavour across the palate, with a low key but very correct acidity, subdued by the wealth of fruit. Drink from 2030-2035. Tasted Oct 2025.
