Strictly limited to 6 bottles per customer 2023 is the second vintage of Fixin Blanc at Amélie’s domaine. It comes from young vines, and has made a deliciously concentrated yet refreshing wine. Textural, with a very moreish salty-fresh finish.
Bottled in August. The produce of young vines, planted in 2009 and 2015, though the former is suffering from being on the compromised 161/49 rootstock. Made in 400 litre barrels. Pale lemon, with a fresh and attractive bouquet, apples and ripe citrus, relatively nuanced also on the palate, more character than many a Marsannay blanc. White alluvial soil with little pebbles. Drink from 2025-2027. Tasted Nov 2024.
