A profound Perrières this year, it has a density and tension running from start to finish. Nashi pear, white peach, but the emphasis for the moment is on the mineral with crushed rocks and ocean spray salinity. This will take some time to show its full potential but clearly has all the component parts for greatness.

Tasting notes

A pretty lemon yellow. The wine is going to have power but is currently all in discretion. Only on the palate does the fruit open right out, opulent ripe pears, only just in balance. So much concentration of fruit that the acidity, which is present, is fully covered. Drink from 2030-2038. Tasted Oct 2023.
