Clos de la Barre is the domaine’s monopole 2.1-hectare vineyard which lies just behind the cellar. The wine always has a bright acidity, married with ripe stone fruit and a salty tang on the finish. A hint of Danish pastry makes it typically Meursault.

Fine pale lemon colour. The bouquet offers precision in a mineral style of Meursault, but not massively demonstrative. Lemon infused minerals almost to the point of being severe, but there is clearly a significant volume of fruit still to emerge. I can see the Clos de la Barre growing in stature from here. Drink from 2028-2035. Tasted Oct 2023.
