2022 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Champs-Gains, Michel Bouzereau

2022 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Champs-Gains, Michel Bouzereau

You can feel the character of the poor stony soil found in Puligny here in this wine’s floral, racy delicacy. It has a piercing, slightly spicy intensity accompanied by a tenderness of fruit on the finish. Enticing, with intricate structure and superb definition.

Tasting notes

Pretty light lemon colour. Some floral character, fine precision, a little lemon note too. More an elegant Puligny than a powerful one, though there is certainly adequate flesh right across the palate, with an attractive tingle of acidity to finish. Drink from 2028-2035. Tasted: October 2023.
