2019 Meursault Saint Christophe, Domaine de Montille

This comes from a blend of some of the village’s best parcels, including Les Narvaux, Casse Têtes, and Petits Charrons. It has a wonderful balance between crunchy green fruit with fennel freshness, and a creamy backbone

2019 Meursault Saint Christophe, Domaine de Montille

Sourced from Les Petit Charrons and Les Castet, the 2019 Meursault "St. Christophe" has a tightly wound bouquet that lacks flair compared to some of the other Meursaults from de Montille. The palate is well balanced and more expressive, offering tangerine and light grapefruit notes and a touch of ginger toward the finish. Hopefully the aromatics will find their voice by the time of bottling.

Domaine de Montille

Charismatic Etienne de Montille has stewarded the family domaine since taking responsibility in 1995. With an enviable selection of vineyards, careful winemaking with the use of whole bunch altered to suit the vintage, and sensitive élévage, it’s no surprise that this estate continues to rise towards the top. With a cellar overseen by the talented, affable American Brian Sieve and his own son joining the family business, Etienne is doing all the right things to ensure the wines thrive.
