2019 Puligny-Montrachet, Jean-Marc Boillot

With seven parcels scattered across 3 hectares, of which five are located in Enseignères (a highly-regarded vineyard that touches the grands crus), the JM Boillot Puligny is one of the most complete and quintessential Pulignys we know. The 2019 is tight, fresh, saline, and lime-driven. There is something sappy and tense about the palate. Very good indeed.

2019 Puligny-Montrachet, Jean-Marc Boillot
Domaine Jean-Marc Boillot

Grandson of Etienne Sauzet, one of Burgundy's most famed vignerons, with experience as winemaker at Olivier Leflaive, Jean-Marc is a man of great practice with the talent of someone for whom winemaking runs in his blood. His wines wonderfully display terroir. With richness of flavour yet lightness of touch, they are always a delight to open: particularly in the company of charming Jean-Marc himself or his adult daughter, Lydie, who works alongside him.
