2017 Santenay 1er Cru Blanc, Clos des Gravières, Hubert Lamy
Politically the last village of the Côte d’Or, Santenay’s wines were once held in higher regard. This shows why it still should be. 50 year old vines in part, but some are 7 years old. Quite creamy with nice acidity and purity, and there’s an excellent balance between freshness and phenolic finish and richness of fruit. So much potential here.
