2017 Meursault Tête de Murger, Patrick Javillier

A blend of Les Casses Tâtes with Les Murgers de Monthélie, bottled that way since 1996. Green pineapple on the nose and apples. Quite structured. Very conference pear on the palate with spice and fine acidity. Really driven and lovely texture and salty tang on the finish.

2017 Meursault Tête de Murger, Patrick Javillier
Domaine Patrick Javillier

Patrick Javillier began working in wine in 1974 and now, his daughter Marion produces an exceptional range of white Burgundy from Meursault and beyond, with her proud father close by. The esteem in which their estate is held is even more impressive considering their low holdings in 1er and grands crus. But this is indicative of their approach: they ensure every cuvée, from Bourgogne Blanc upwards, fulfills its potential.
