2016 Meursault Tête de Murger, Patrick Javillier

A blend of Les Casses Tâtes with Les Murgers de Monthélie, this is the ripest and most Meursault of Patrick and Marion’s wines. But it’s still fresh, with nice elegance and balance and cool fruit, and a clean mineral finish.

2016 Meursault Tête de Murger, Patrick Javillier
Domaine Patrick Javillier

Patrick Javillier began working in wine in 1974 and now, his daughter Marion produces an exceptional range of white Burgundy from Meursault and beyond, with her proud father close by. The esteem in which their estate is held is even more impressive considering their low holdings in 1er and grands crus. But this is indicative of their approach: they ensure every cuvée, from Bourgogne Blanc upwards, fulfills its potential.
