2015 Bouzeron Clos de la Fortune Aligoté, Domaine Chanzy

A real Burgundy find. This has a racy and floral nose, but real weight and texture on the palate. Ripe but not heavy, it's beautifully balanced. A textbook example of the quality you can find in Bouzeron.

About this producer

Domaine Chanzy

Saved from bankruptcy in 2012, Domaine Chanzy is an estate with renewed ambition, aiming to sit at the top table in Burgundy. Winemaking is overseen by Jean-Baptiste Jessiaume, winner of the Côte de Beaune’s Young Winemaker of the Year in 2012. Based in Bouzeron on the Côte Chalonnaise, home of the resurgent Burgundian variety Aligoté, and with important holdings throughout the region, they’re an estate to follow.
