A thoughtful winemaker, by blending together two separate plots Patrick Javillier has been able to create perfectly balanced wines from Meursault’s varied terroirs. In this case, we have a little of Les Crotots, a vineyard that borders Porusots, added to Clous to give a more mineral texture on top of the riper characters of the clay-based Clous. With a pithy finish and great weight and freshness, with time this will be superb.
