2013 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Champ Canet, Olivier Leflaive Frères

In our eyes one of the top 1ers Crus in the village, producing driven, mineral wines which could only be Puligny. This is much leaner and more racy than the Truffières with notes of crushed rock and pithy, concentrated fruit. Extremely fine boned but far from delicate this is multi-faceted and should spread its wings further in the bottle.

2013 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Champ Canet, Olivier Leflaive Frères
Olivier Leflaive

One of Burgundy’s most recognisable names, Olivier Leflaive produces some of the Côte de Beaune’s finest whites from a mixture of domaine-owned vineyards and bought-in grapes. Olivier founded the company in 1984, and it has grown in quality and prestige ever since. With 17 hectares of their own vineyards in some of the region’s most prized plots, and using only the very best sources from their bought grapes and must, the wines being produced are now up there with the region’s very best.
