2013 Meursault 1er Cru Les Genevrières, Olivier Leflaive

From the second best vineyard in Meursault this is a classic example. Tightly wound with crushed stones, yellow plum and spring blossom on the nose, the palate is incredibly detailed with a grippy structure. It needs a couple of years in the bottle to relax but has huge potential.

Olivier Leflaive

One of Burgundy’s most recognisable names, Olivier Leflaive produces some of the Côte de Beaune’s finest whites from a mixture of domaine-owned vineyards and bought-in grapes. Olivier founded the company in 1984, and it has grown in quality and prestige ever since. With 17 hectares of their own vineyards in some of the region’s most prized plots, and using only the very best sources from their bought grapes and must, the wines being produced are now up there with the region’s very best.
