Michel farms half a hectare of this little known but fantastically located 1er Cru: just around the corner from Chevalier-Montrachet it produces wines of tension and class. The 2013 is an intense effort with notes of lime blossom and baked bread, the palate plump yet fresh with more than a touch of Grand Cru about it. I just hope Michel doesn't retire anytime soon.
