Winemaker Franck picks faults in most of his wines when you taste with him and when we asked him which wine he was happiest with from the 2013 vintage, 1er Cru Montagny was the answer. We agreed on tasting and here it is. Luckily the vineyards escaped the hail and experienced a cool summer and perfect picking conditions. This is taut with just enough tropicality; great Chardonnay which won't break the bank.
