2012 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru, Domaine de Montille
This a paradigm of minerality, poise and precision. Beautifully elegant, it should not, however, be thought of as a “light” wine. It is in fact superbly powerful and long on the finish thanks to that beautiful minerality. The purity of fruit is stunning, yet it is a voluminous and concentrated wine – absolutely stunning.
