Criots is a tiny and so rarely seen Grand Cru, which produces a more refined and feminine wine than its burly neighbour Bâtard. Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard owns nearly a quarter of the vineyard and produces its best wine. This has a marvellous refinement, with great pitch and lovely acidity. Outstanding, with real concentration and performing considerably above its status.
